Securing Our Borders

A strong and secure U.S. border has always been one of my top priorities. I am once again seeking appointment to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, where I will continue to advocate for the resources and funding needed to effectively secure our borders. This includes providing our Border Patrol agents with the tools and support they need to do their jobs safely and efficiently. I will place particular emphasis on strengthening security along our Northern Border.

Addressing Illegal Immigration

I fully support the administration’s efforts to identify and deport criminal illegal immigrants—both those currently incarcerated and those living unlawfully in our communities—who pose a threat to public safety and quality of life.

For individuals without criminal records, I support policies that encourage self-deportation to allow them the opportunity to apply for legal entry through the standard immigration process.

Those who are in the country illegally should not be eligible for benefits which are intended exclusively for U.S. citizens.
